For sale is a 16 foot Molded Fiberglass Amerigo Travel Trailer, Set-up to sleep 4 and only weights 900# can be towed with most 4cyls and 6cyls engines like a Chevrolet S-10. These are hard to find and sell at very high prices. Why build a Tear-Drop, These are much better, " for some updated looks and understanding the trailer build.you may wish to look at some of the ones still be made today. The glass shell is in good shape but the inside needed updated and some repairs. I started purchasing items for the re-do and update and will include these items with the sale. The new items are:materials for the new seats, drape material, light lens, as well as some intertior lights and some of the body hatches that I have installed.

It is not being sold as ready to go, but a handy person can use this trailer for many years and at a very low cost. Frame, Axles and body all seem to be in good working order. Spare wheel and tire are included as well as there is a Refg elec/gas, 3 brunner range with oven that work and a heater I did not try but was told it worked. The floor needs repaining by the door, I would if I kept it replace all of the paneling as there is just three sheets, space for a full queen size bed in the rear. These trailers are put together like a kit and are easy to remove items repair and replace. For any information please call. Would work well for long trips and or behind the street rods. The same style body of the trailer is still being made today and you may wish to look at there site "Trilliumrv.com This trailer is sold as an assemble kit trailer and has no title, you just register it as a kit. 989.482.9517

Amerigo also built a molded fiberglass slide-in camper that was bought up by Stewart Gardner and was redone into the 1972 Sunrader slide-in camper for Toyota pick-ups and a slightly larger model for full size pick-up. That morphed into the 1978 Sunrader Toyota Motorhome and later, into the rest of the premier line of molded fiberglass Toyota/Nissan "Toyhomes" until they closed shop in 1992.

Wow! I had NO IDEA that the Sunraders were siblings to the Amerigos! I've admired both rigs for years, both on here and on other sites!

...a bit weird, are'nt we, Joe?!!! BUT we're also KOOL!

I've been really attracted to those little tiny Toyota motorhomes as well as the Amerigo. I'd pick this one up in a heartbeat, if it were closer to Portland. Damn.

I haven't seen an Amerigo up close yet, but I had the opportunity to tour a Sunrader motorhome a few years ago. Like so many of us FGRVers, some neighboring campers at a campground who had a Sunrader were more than happy to show me around, great rig, well put together, and well loved by it's owners.
And I TOTALLY agree, if I were closer to Portland, I'd snap up that Amerigo too! Hopefully whoever does will join up here and show us how the rig goes!

Available Amerigo Camper???
There is a very nice looking Amerigo slide-in sitting on saw horses on the main hiway in Chewela, WA (just north of Spokane) But, as I recall these "hybrids" weigh a lot...
