Would love to see what the original screen room looks like. The snaps are there.

That's the one we looked at. The screen room was in a heap inside the trailer so I don't know the condition. Left side pic isn't good enough to see if the window is still all gobbed up with silicone. Note damaged A/C cover. It was on craigslist in Florida, probably about time for him to head back north to his home in upstate NY and he doesn't want to drag it back there because he had no luck selling it up there. It probably isn't that bad, it just didn't appeal to us, too big for our car to pull, and needed some work, and at that time the price was $4995. I thought it may have had a sag in the roof between the A/C and the door, but I'm not sure about that. Wonder what the reserve is.

You got to figure on a window rebuild anyway on just about any UHaul, the AC cover is about$125. Rest looks like the interior is in reasonable shape. Only concern I have is all the snaps or whatever around the front window. Could be a leak area.

He did tell me that the brakes had all been rebuilt and I have no reason to doubt that. How about his claim that there were only 100 built and that the VTs were never rented out.

Just like the one in SC that only weighed 1250 or thereabouts. There is a lot of half truths out there. The only place I saw a value on VTs. And for that matter CTs made was on Ray Horners web site. Dont believe UHaul published any info. The only thing we know and it is anecdotally is that there are more CTs than VTs based on the ones that come up for sale. So I wouldn't be too harsh on the 100. But for saying they weren't rented; rip him good.

According to the Ray Horner's history that I read, there were about 200 VTs made, and around 2000 CTs.

When we looked at that VT over a year ago, the seller insisted that the VTs were never rented, which didn't make sense to us but I figured why argue with him over it. The way the ebay ad is written it could be taken as none of the VTs were ever rented, or that particular one was never rented. I just don't like seeing incorrect info put out to those who don't know better. Hopefully someone who has some knowledge about Uhauls will be the successful bidder. The seller of the one in South Carolina didn't seem to know much about the history, and apparently was told that the Uhaul campers weighed 1250 by someone who didn't know the difference between a CT and a VT.

Sold on ebay for $3350, that's considerable less than the $4995 he wanted originally!! Did someone here get it?
