I would like to see one of these in person. I have seen stick-built campers like this, but a fiberglass trailer would be a lot nicer. With a dry weight of 840 lbs

The Little Guy MyPod has been around for a while. I did a quick Search and we have five members that identify with owning one.

I saw a MyPod in person six or seven years ago.. Very sharp looking and well made. It’s smaller than a typical teardrop, and there’s no galley. It’s just a very nice fiberglass backpacking tent on wheels.

Guy that owned it towed it with a Jeep Renegade (the little one). He bought it for a long cross-country trip, and then had it for sale. He was in town for a festival, and had it set up in the overflow parking lot at a local campground with a sale sign. It was so cute I had to stop and look.

Personally, if all I wanted was a hard-side bed on wheels, I’d get a minivan and convert that to a camper. They sell kits for less than $5K with bed, table, storage, and slide-out galley modules, versus $15K for a MyPod.

For a a lot more functionality but still garageable and 900# dry, I’d opt for another Little Guy product, the Meerkat.

Sold for around $6000 as I remember. Just a bed, ac and exhaust fan but very easy to tow with any 4 cylinder. Very well made and aluminum frame. As I remember they later ones had some issues the frames cracking.

Not really sure they are a great value today considering what you pay for them vs what you receive but that’s just my humble opinion

What do you have for a tow vehicle, a riding lawnmower?
840 Lbs? I pack more than that in just camping equipment, not counting all the extra stuff I toss in the trailer. My Stow-Away roto-molded storage box on the rear of my trailer is about the size of that thing.
How do you even get dressed in one of those things? You can't even stand up in it. With my back problems there's no way I would even consider one of those "coffins on wheels." I'd sooner opt for a transit van and remodel it if you don't want to tow a real trailer. Just my two cents.

My four cylinder diesel Land Rover tows my 1000 lb Eriba Puck and gets around 19 mpg doing it - not exactly the most aerodynamic package.


The Meerkat is a copy of the Eriba design.

It's strange how the designers of campers go from one extreme to the other. On the one hand you have fifth wheels that seem to stretch for a mile, and then you have this one. A height of 37" means no matter how limber one might be..and most of us are of an age that we ain't anymore..you're going to bump your head. I didn't catch the length. I can see the day when the designers just take a garden cart, throw a tarp over the top and call it 'cute'.

We towed it from Ft. Hood, Texas to Tucson, Az. with our 2022 Hyundai Elantra Limited hybrid and got about 38 miles per gal. Perfect molded fiberglass for a hybrid!

And it has A/C, TV and stereo!

It has a small storage cabinet behind the TV and we've added a 4" memory foam mattress.
