This one is really "One of a Kind" and has been a Labor of Love for Wayne and Gerry for sure.
Every spot where storage could be added has some.
Small touches that I have not seen before are all over.
The pictures do not do it justice really.
I also have more pics if anyone wants them.

I like the window awnings!
So does this have a shower? I'm thinking maybe not with all the wood cabinets in the bath.

Jack's profile says Satellite Beach, Florida. I don't think he could be any farther away from you within the continental US.

Trailer is in Okeechobee Florida.
Neither JackV nor I am the owners but are posting this for the Felkers at their request.
Sorry for any confusion.

This is really more like a direct computer assisted for sale than a referral?
I was asked to post on behalf of the Felkers as an aid to getting it posted with pics but it is a first hand sale listing really.
Hope this makes more sense?

I have a question. This is unusually high for a 1995 scamp. It's the same price as a 2006 casita in Florida. Any thoughts about resale value should one buy this and then later have to sell it? Wouldn't most people prefer a much newer casita?
Thanks. I'm not being ornery--I think this looks pretty. I'm just concerned that this would be a specialty buy.

My guess is that the owners added a LOT of storage and awnings all the way around, among other things. They might want to realize at least some return for the extra effort. Whether the market will support those modifications is something else.
I was confused about the bathroom because it took me a long time to figure out that the toilet is in the center of the trailer, where a full bath would put the shower, and not in the corner. Where the toilet normally is has been filled it with storage cabinetry. What confused me was the Microwave recessed above the dinette seat and below the TV. Now the vent louvers beside the toilet make sense. I see no shower fittings in the picture.
This may be a specialty buy for someone who values storage and can live without a shower.

This is kind of pushing the envelope in regards to our Forum Definitions. The general rule of thumb has historically been: - FGRV-Member's trailers go into "For Sale"
- Not-members-of-FGRV trailers go into "Referrals"

Understood.
Thanks Fred for considering this and I can't really see how it matters where it is posted as far as the Seller is concerned anyway.

Awnings, stabilizers, and stuff like that are good. Storage is probably not necessary for most, and may give a cluttered look. The rule in houses is: update the kitchen and the bathroom and you can charge for that, the rest, no, even if you love your own modifications. In fact in a small space, adding extra cabinetry may be seen as adding to a claustrophobic feel. Besides, I don't think storage itself is that expensive. I don't mind not having a shower, but I'm just saying, the casita is 6 years old, this is 17 years old, and the Casita has a shower, and this doesn't. The casita will hold resale value (they are both close by in Florida) and this scamp won't likely sell for that very easily. Also, 17 years, things do degrade and need upkeep, recoating and so on. It just isn't the same so I am surprised at the price. That said, it looks very cute.

I think if you asked owners here what the number one thing they would like in their trailers was it would almost always be More Storage!
Not sure why you think it is unimportant but these are tiny rigs and I always look for new ways to maximize the space?
The idea of the built-in storage in this Scamp is to avoid the cluttered look not enhance it and there are many spots to hide stuff out of the way but easy to reach.
These rigs are worth exactly what someone will pay for them so I imagine there will always be a buyer for each trailer for sale.
Beauty on this one is more than Skin Deep.
The Felkers decided they did not need the Shower and so the space was optimized for their needs. Having just attended a Rally with them with 60 more trailers too I would guess more did not have a full bath than did have one?
Everyone has their own needs so we each make the space our own in different ways.
Ed

Hi Ed, I have no beef with any of the improvements, and the pictures are charming. I'm just wondering what the market will bear. I am using craigspal (pro) to check listings daily, and here are some examples of what I see in Fl this month:
2007 Casita, $11,500
1988 Casita, $4500
2003 scamp "showroom condition" $6200
2007 scamp 13 feet, $4100
And there is the casita Melissa found, the 2006, for $11,500.
And the gut renovated scamp that sold for $7500 yesterday here.
And the Taos 13 foot 2002 scamp that was listed at $5900 and sold (that had no a/c though, no potty either)
There's absolutely nothing wrong with no shower--it may minimize plumbing leaks for instance--and extra storage. Every loving touch is great, and owners who care for their casita's and scamps and keep them in good condition are to be valued. Still, there *is* a market price...

Jen, was that 2007 Scamp 13 for $4100 a Scam? Sure sounds awfully cheap unless it was damaged. I havent seen any numbers like that one.
