nice little units but pricey just the same. Though might be a good deal of the USA people as there dollar is worth way more than ours.

The slide-out belly drawer is interesting, but I can't help wondering how long it will be before someone thinks "I could carry my mobility scooter/motorcycle/jetski on that" which I feel may end in tears.

The pull out dog bowls really do it for me, I just need a 16 or 17 footer. Or dare I dream of a 19?. I see a lot to like which comes at a price. I have to wonder, why are we just now hearing about this? I mean this IS the FGRV forum and promoters don't make any effort to get the word out about their product? Are we supposed to look on Facebook or something?

Anyone else notice the pet crate built in under one of the dinette seats? Or did I see that wrong? What an idea to encorporate--maybe--in ours!

I find it makes little sense to lower the clearance by attaching an apparatus that can be easily damaged by a rock or a curb, and would be difficult to repair due to location.

It's actually a revisited Lil Bigfoot (that was a Boler mold set) on steroids.

I will be in Summerland, BC right after the first of the year and will try to get to Enderby/Salmon Arm for a look-see. They are all right up the 97 from here so I shouldn't get lost

Looks like a fun little FG unit, but if I'm reading it right, to get it outfitted comparably to a 13' Deluxe Scamp or Casita would put it out of sight.

Doesn't say if Canadian or US dollars, but either way the options seem pricey.

The pricing is about the same as the few other limited production 13'-15' FGRV's just coming on the market this past year. The site has Canadian $$$ prices. Multiply by about .71 for USD $$$

It costs a lot more to make a few new FGRV's than 1000's and, with 40 years experience, as does Scamp, they have a fairly decent business plan.

I like the fact there are no "screw covers" all over the with sealant outside to catch dirt. Nice clean design and I like the pull out bumper

Looks to moi that it has a bellyband just like the Lil' BigFoot and Boler from which it was derived. Only difference is that they put a strip of LED's in place of the usual cover. Look at the gallery pics.

Bob, I have a question about the recessed flat door. I know you once owned a Lil Bigfoot, and I believe it was the same as the Armadillo. The door appears to have a continuous hinge, and the shell bulges out just in front of the hinge. What keeps the door from contacting the shell? How far does it open?

See last year's discussion, started by the manufacturer: The New 13 Boler is Back in Canada - It's Now Called the Armadillo.

And this more recent, but much shorter thread:
Armadillo.

These kinda show what was done, The door frame and door is flat, sits almost flush at the curved part and sticks out at the top and bottom. That small black patch o the door was a P.O.'s repair where the door contacted the belly band.

I hope to see an Armadillo in the next few weeks and will see how they solved the issue.

Nice little trailer. One odd thing though, it is ostensibly a 13, but it has a foot more tongue and a foot less body than other 13s like Scamp or Casita.
At least that's what the dimensional drawing says,(9ft) although the spec listing claims 10ft.

Could that have something to do with the way the cabin extends out over part of the A-frame? At least it appears that way on my Scamp, and I assume other Boler-derived designs are similar.

@Bob- Thanks for the information and photos. It makes sense now.

Yep, we did a lot of work inside of the Lil Bigfoot and if we had lost a foot of space we would have noticed. There is a front bunk/sofa and a kitchen unit the same size as in the Scamp 23'. 12" less would have been noticed. I'll try to measure one in a couple of weeks.

I'm just pointing out the discrepancy on the Armadillo web site.
Not sure which is actually right. I've seen the Lil' Bigfoot and I'm sure it is the same as all the rest as far as cabin length, but the Armadillo??...
