I called Scamp and Justin said they were no longer available. Does anyone have any info where to find them? Or, what brand the rim is(Ford,Chevy, foriegn etc.)? Also would like a "Scamp logo" tire cover. Please help.
Thanks,
Gary Little

The only Scamp logo tire cover I've ever seen had their 800 number on it. I own a Scamp and am proud of it, but I think the phone number makes the trailer look like a rental. I suppose you could peel off the numbers, but personally I think a plain white one or maybe one with whatever the "theme" you're decorating with, would be

I got my 13" moons from Mooneyes in California via the web; www.mooneyesusa.com
Their item # MC0513 and they are packaged as a set of 4 but they will break and sell you 2, my cost was 62.11 including the tax and freight.

That looks great. But I need the "Baby Moons" not full. I may try a VW scrap yard.
Thanks,
Gary

Normally I hate purely decorative items, but full Moon caps on my lawn tractor is just so cool I'm tempted. On second thought, my wife would not be happy... even at $15 each.
Dan, the Bearing Buddy website has an installation page with removal instructions.

The spare tire cover can be ordered directly from Justin at the Scamp factory...I think it is about $22.00 plus about $5.00 shipping. Check the Scamp web site they have a complete parts list and current cost of every item on the list.

A Bearing Buddy is a device to keep pressure on the grease in a trailer axle bearing set to keep out water, intended for boat trailers. It sticks in the end of the hub, where the cap should go. They are not recommended by axle manufacturers for any axle with brakes, and I wouldn't use them myself, but many people choose to put them in various types of trailers, to ensure continuous adequate lubrication of the bearings. Their web site is reasonably informative (although, of course, biased).
Dan mentioned removing them - which I personally think might be a good plan.

Drew,
I will definitely give Red Neck a call. The Fiber Stream has 12" wheels. So, moons in that size are pricey. The online catalog prices look better than any other I've seen.

I know this is an old thread but I am wanting to purchase these baby moons. JC Whitney has 2 kinds for sale. Which ones are the 304 stainless?
The Coast to Coast brand; Product Number: 13902G
http://www.jcwhitney.com/baby-moon-h.../p2021572.jcwx
or the
Mr Gasket brand; Product Number: 40238G
http://www.jcwhitney.com/baby-moon-h.../p2031512.jcwx
Just from the picture the Mr Gasket brand looks better but it may just be the photograph.

Let's see, from the coast of China to the coast of U.S.A. Mr. Gasket has been around for a long time. You also know you can buy chrome hubcaps at the truckstop, don't you?

(thanks for finding this old thread, julie! I've been looking at this as well)
Thanks!
