Backup lights

Wish to add backup lights to our 17' boler any ideas about lights that would look ok with the standard (original) tail lights; thought a bit smaller and located below the original lights in the recessed
out section.
Has any one else done this. night time parking safety

I have just added a regular outside mounting porch light to the back of the trailer to use as a back-up light. Placed centered, above or below the back window it looks just like it belongs there and can also be useful for outside lighting at night.

Be sure to match your existing porch light style or the RV Style Police might be knocking at your door late some night.... LOLOLOL

there are plenty of lights available which would work great.
the question really is... do want them for conventional purposes like notifying traffic behind you that you are backing?
Or do you want to see better when backing into a campsite at night?
If the latter is true, then you might consider placing a single driving light under the bumper out of sight facing downward.
This puts a big pool of light immediately behind the trailer and illuminates the ground under the trailer and on both sides from the tires back.
Our Scamp came with conventional backup lights . My Ranger is wired for them, my Escape is not. There is not much real difference as far as illumination behind the trailer, but they do work as indicator lights.

You should take a run to Princess Auto. They have lots of good choices there. I just picked up a LED light I am going to use as a high mount brake light on my 13' Boler.

Thanks for your ideas: May try the porch light, plus the under light and rear facing light Will connect the rear facing light or lights to the backup switch (wire feed in 7 pin on car) porch light can be manual turn on will try to find one that looks like the original side light.
