Bargman Plug Purple Wire Conundrum

Our power jack on the Rav got smashed this winter backing into a frozen bank. I'm getting ready to rewire, but (of course) the wires on the old jack don't match those on the wiring diagram for the new one. Specifically, there's a PURPLE wire on the car side of things, but no purple wiring pin on the jack. I figure I can just haul out the VOM and test stuff, but if anyone has an "oh, duh... here's what's what" answer I'd be grateful!

I don't know. The wire size may give a clue. Have you tried tracing it back?

1. White / Ground return/ 10 ga
2. Blue / Electric brakes /12 ga
3. Green / Tail, Running, License / 14 ga
4. Black / Battery charge Line/ 10 ga
5. Red / Stop and LH turn /14 ga
6. Brown / Stop and RH turn/ 14 ga
7. Yellow / Auxiliary and back up / 14 ga

Well, I think I noodled it out. We shall see what happens when I hook up the Scamp.
