Hello,
We have always pulled our 1973 13" Trillium with our 1997 Chevy Astro, but it is getting older and isn't that great on gas. We recently acquired a 2005 Chevy Montana but it doesn't have a tow package on it. Can we tow our trailer with this van? Anyone had any experience towing with a Chevy Montana?
Thanks!

There is an aftermarket class II hitch and aftermarket wiring kits available for you to safely tow your 13
Trillium with your Montana. The Trillium is
light enough and has little enough tongue
weight that you can easily tow it with your Montana.
Anything close to safe driving habits will make further mods unnecessary.
Having towed many different
fiberglass trailers over many thousands of miles, I found the Trillium to be a
light and easy tow with only a slight stability deficit compared to others. With the addition of a simple friction anti-sway device it proved to be an amiable companion for our Ford
Escape 4CYL.
The Trillium is a well made and roomy trailer, but it is a tiny bit high and square compared to it's
Boler,Scamp,
Casita,
LoveBug, etc, counterparts.
This , I think accounts for it having a touch of an "Odie complex" [see Garfield].
I think your Montana will prove to be an excellent match for your Trillium.
It's size and shape compliments the Trillium {aerodynamicly} ,it has room for all your stuff and enough power for trouble free travel in comfort.
One last point, I am assuming your Trillium does not have
brakes, which is fine considering the size of your van. Trans coolers, PS coolers, Trailer
Brakes , even when not necessary, certainly can't hurt anything of course.
