Double towing is only legal behind a 5th wheel rig in California and I am sure other states follow the same rule that you can't double tow with a "Bumper Pull" first trailer.

Actually there are quite a few places where you can double tow behind a straight-pull trailer.

Idaho it's legal, but don't cross the border into Oregon.

The Bigfoot 21 footer for sale in Texas and shown in the "for sale' section of this site includes pix of it pulling another trailer behind it
I have seen "double tow" rigs - usually a straight-pull TT with a boat on another trailer behind in Saskatchewan

I've seen (and read about even more) accidents where there was a double tow. See a lot of them in Utah-travel trailer, then a toy trailer behind it. Accidents happen as the 2nd trailer rarely has brakes. Great sway potential too.

It's not an egg but saw this piece of work a few years ago. Hope he didn't have far to go. Ford Ranger was the TV.

If I saw that and couldn't get ahead of it, the next words heard would be "GPS recalculating route"
Probably why so many jurisdictions ban this

Even if you can, why would you want to?

Not something I'd want to try. My 2001 Scamp 13' manual I believe states that you should not tow behind it.

Many years ago, in Alberta, I saw a p/u towing a trailer and a boat. I was surprised and asked an RCMP officer about it. He said, "Sir, if you want to make your own choo-choo train, it's OK. But it can't be more than 65' long."
I wouldn't mind towing my bike trailer behind my Scamp but as it's been pointed out it's only legal in some places and in BC it's not legal.
Too bad, I've always wanted a choo-choo train

Just yesterday, I saw a pickup pulling a 26'boat, pulling a jet ski. And due to the boat prop, the jet ski trailer was hitched about 2' off center of the boat trailer. At least it appeared that the boat trailer had brakes-the jet ski trailer didn't.
