Hitch

What type of hitch does everyone use to tow their scamps, weight distribution, stinger and a ball?

Check your tow vehicles specifications - some require a weight distribution others do not recommend the use of them.

Trillium RV does not recommend a weight distribution hitch be used with their trailers.

Weight distribution hitches can be a negative for small trailers. Generally they're not recommended for trailers under 5,000 lbs.
One has to remember that with WDH there's additional weight placed on the trailer axle. It's pretty easy to overload the trailer axle thus reducing the life.
Do a google search on "how weight distribution hitches work". What you want to read is NOT the WDH manufacturers stuff until after you're read some of the independent information.

I too agree no need for a weight distribution, but you could add on a anti sway bar if you like. I think they are a good idea just in case you have to move the tow vehicle in one direction or the other in a hurry to avoid something. I like the 2" receivers versa the 1 1/4" . I think most tugs no-a-days will take the 2" hitch. Pretty basic setup really. Things could change a bit if you are thinking of a 25' Bigfoot , but for most of the small trailers its pretty simple.
