Phil and Julie, I also have an Escape although mine is 17'. How do I figure out what hitch I have, I've looked for a brand but can't find one. Anyway, I dislike what I have now and would like to know what it us. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Linda in Seattle

I'd call Escape with the VIN and the name of the previous owner if you bought used. They can look up the build sheet.

Wow... real issues with weight distributing hitches... never had any issues with my Reese 10K WDH and sway bars, towing a 4000lb TT with a 12 Tahoe. The heaviest part is the ball mount, bars are not bad and sway bar stays on all the time. Yes you need some disposable gloves for a little grease during hook-up, but super easy, quiet, and reliable. I have no experience with an Anderson, but I guess you either love them or hate then by the sound of it. Stay safe, happy trails!
