Hitch Height

I have a 16' Scamp (1997 vintage) The owners manual recommends a hitch ball height of 19". Does that height stay the same with a weight distribution hitch. I have tried several adjustments in the past with no noticeable ride difference. I adjusted the bars as per mfg spec for a level trailer/car combination.
Any opinions?

Frank, I don't think you need to dwell on the 19" thing from the manual. No telling what's been changed on a '97 over the years to affect the ride height. So that number may be out the window. How does the trailer sit with your tug? Level or a bit down at the ball? Don't understand what kind of ride change you're looking for as you didn't say what you find wrong with the tow. A 16' Scamp shouldn't need a WDH but I don't know what your tug is.

Good day Frank. A pic of your rig would really help here then we could have a better understanding of what you are working with. Thnxs, and interested in seeing your Scamp combo.
