Honda Pilot

Suitable for towing an Escape 19 which has a 4000 gvwr? I believe they have a 5000 pound tow rating.

As has been established in a recent thread, Pilots can range from useless as a tow to adequate. If your specific (sticker on the door) is rated to tow 5000lbs and has hitch capacity of enough for the Escape (what 400#? look it up) then it will be probably be adequate.

My 2019 Pilot does have the 5000 pound tow rating. It is AWD with the tow package. The models with the 9 speed transmission have a 3500 tow rating.

Would I tow a 4000 pound trailer? It seems reasonable but I'm not sure. My Campster is a lot lighter and no problem there. We haven't made any real long trips.

I tow a 17' Casita with a 2017 Pilot with factory tow pkg. I have no problems with it. We have looked at Escape 19s and decided that we would need a different TV if we decided to get one.

I'm sorry, wrong forum. It was a nutty thread on another forum. I was toggling around and forgot where I was. I'd correct my post but apparently it's too late to edit.
