As an owner of a 2019 Ram 1500 , I would also like to thank Bob for his kind gesture. So far no problems with my Ram except for one recall that took 15 minutes to remedy .

I buy my Chryslers used.. so I would like to thank all those who devalue the brand for me to scoop up cheaply.


Also.. The time is quickly approaching of the day I can once again downshift into 2nd gear and floor my accelerator pedal, to tow uphill at speeds slower than loaded semi trucks. Per the Dunham Dozen rule #9! Looking forward to it.

I witnessed it once going from West to East up the Eisenhower Pass
A small car / SUV towing a small trailer was in the truck lane holding back a whole string of semi trucks . I swear I could hear his small engine screaming in an attempt to make it up the grade and I had my windows closed
We didn’t hang around to see if they made it - They could still be there for all I know .

Of course there are extremes.
There are Tow vehicles which are too small for certain applications and there are Tow vehicles which are too large for certain applications.


Ridiculous examples notwithstanding,
I tow my fiberglass RV with a 4CYL 2019 Ford Ranger.
There is no one towing a comparable fiberglass RV with a fullsized truck (V8, gas, Diesel or otherwise) which could outperform this combination safely.

The right tool for the job makes sense....

While going up a mountain in Greece I passed a good sized camper being pulled by a WWII Koubelwagen with Yugoslavia license plates. Me, I was driving a VW Thing, the big brother of the Koublewagen.

Mike, thanks for the input. To get a trailer from here to there in good weather, I still say the 2wheel drive pickup is the best. Unfortunately rain and snow happen.
