Looks like a good towing setup

I saw this rig at work yesterday

Not knowing how the VW bumper is setup, there's a chance that for what they tow, this is actually a perfectly fine hitch install. But I saw it and just couldn't help documenting it

Unless that mount is bolted through the bumper to the steel frame???
It is probably for just a light utility trailer.
You need to rely on your owner's manual as to trailer towing capacity.

Looks like the perfect set up for a Scamp 13 provided you pack really light.

I hope you all know i was joking
Seems like the 2most common and controversial questions are
1) do i need a wdh
2) which tires
Just me poking fun

Whatever floats the owner's boat, but I wouldn't tow much with that.

I see no possible downsides to this scheme.

Anything bigger than a $150 Harbor Freight utility trailer carrying a lawn mower and it will probably look like this again...

Exactly!

I would guess that with that car they aren't towing much. It honestly probably works just fine for them. It was just too funny not to take a photo.
