NEW RECALL Michelin Light truck replacement Tires

For those of you running Michelins on anything:

As posted today on its Facebook page, Michelin has announced a voluntary safety recall of certain of its "light truck replacement tires".

Specifics can be found at this Michelin link.

Michelin Recall is of P-Metric Tires

Thanks for the heads-up, Francesca, but none of the recalled tires are of the LT type; they are all P-metric. The title of the announcement includes the words "light truck" because these tires in these sizes are typically used on light trucks and SUVs. The term "LT" has a specific meaning in tires (referring to a specific Tire & Rim Association classification), beyond simply being an acronym for "light truck", and these tires do not fit this meaning.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

These are all 18", 19", and 20" tires. It your TV is a smaller size you are not effected by the recall.
