I know there is lots of stuff on axles here but I live in Nova Scotia and have a 1973 model 13ft Boler and want to put a new axle on it. Please save me a bunch of time and grief and recommend an axle I can buy here.
Thanks for your time. Ken

Crawl underneath and see if the axle tag is still riveted to the beam -- Calling the appropriate plant (It's likely a Dexter) with your numbers should get you a complete description of how the old one fit -- You may even be able to order the axle and have it shipped to you ($$). Don't have any idea what parts suppliers exist in your neck of the woods...

Hey there Kenny

Im changing the axle on my 74 Boler and the best price i got was from the company below. They gave me an approximate price for a 2000 lbs axle with brakes of around 500$. They make their own axle. Considering its past Quebec city, its the same ditance to your place and mine and they said it would be no more then 70$ for transport. I will soon post here the drawings i made of the frame of my Boler and thats what ill send them so they can make the axle. Hope this will help you,

I'm not sure how to reply, but here goes. Thanks for the help. I'll check out Princess, Dexter and the place in PQ and go with the best one. I found no tag on the axle.
A friend who makes utility trailers will do the job.
I think I'll brush Rust Check on the frame while I can get at it.
Thanks again, Ken
