Scamp 19 Tires

Hello all,

Does anyone know the tallest tire I can install on my Scamp 19. I know that Scamp says 205/75r15, but it says that size is for 2015 trailers and newer. Mine is a 2001 and I would like to get the trailer as high as I can without doing the axel lift. Thanks

I have 205/75 R14's on my 2001 19'er and had to radius the curb side wheel well a bit more with a dremel to get them on. Last year I swapped out the axle for the H-lift version and will probably go to 215/75 R15 when it comes time to replace the tires.

I'm going to have to replace the Goodyear Marathon tires that came with my 2006 Scamp 19. Plan on going with Goodyear Endurance® 215/75r15

The difference between 205/75R14 and 215/75R15 is about an inch and a half in overall tire diameter, which is a gain in raising the trailer on a new tire of about 3/4"... a third of which will be lost to tire wear.
If you want to go to a larger wheel, do so, but if you want to raise the trailer then consider other options.

You would gain about the same height increase by keeping your 14" wheels and going to a 215 with an "80" aspect ratio.

Meant to say: Plan on going with Goodyear Endurance® 215/75r14 or 215/75r15.

Goodyear does not produce a "80" aspect ratio in the 14" and 15" Endurance trailer tire line. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec....Tire=075NR5END

True, but other people do make trailer tires, some even better than GoodYear, but actually I was addressing the OP's desire to raise his trailer.

I only use 13s, but I would choose Carlisle Tires over Goodyear in every application I am likely to encounter.
I'm sure the Endurance is fine but there are viable alternatives.
