Stromberg Receiver Hitch for Bike Rack (Casita 17)
Has anyone run into an issue installing this hitch? I was thinking of trying one and read it was to wide. The inside of my main frame rails are 46" and the minimum setting on the hitch is 49.5, so yes out of the box it would be too wide, but it looks like a guy could cut off the end inserts a couple inches or at worst cut the ends of the main tube and just drill another hole without having to weld anything. I know about the $450 one, this one and copies of it are $150-$200. Any input appreciated!
I fabricated one similar to the one that Casita Works manufactures and sells.Much better than that Stromberg receiver. Any welding shop could make one. For a bike rack, be sure to get one that is rated for use on the rear of a RV.
Don't do it hitch might take the bouncing but bike rack won't they can't take the bouncing had one on my 16 foot and it broke and was dragged one bike down the road .

Thank you, I appreciate any input but was really wanting a first hand review. I went ahead and ordered the real deal.
