Trailer: Scamp 19 ft 5th Wheel ('ye ole bucket')

I noticed after bringing the trailer home.. that the street side.. the tire is way close to the "side' of the wheel weld more than the curb side? Is the fiberglass cut different on one side than the other? The axel just by looking seem to be in good shape but if I stick my finger between the outside of the tire and the trailer I have only but an inch if that??? It pulls good down the road.
Should I take it to an axel place and have them check it out? could a hub be bent? the tire treads arent worn uneven or anything...

I just got it out of the shop from more repairs, and had to have a friend come back it up.. apparently there are some cracks and leaks in the gray water tank.. so I had to turn around and take it back... I hadnt had that one my list for 'fix its'...........
Along with this purchase and getting ripped off big time.. i have probably got 10K into this bucket.. but with the price of new ones I guess replaceing is cheaper. This will be in very good working order when done!!!

I recall reading about a year or so ago about the rubber on a Casita axle coming out of the axle beam on the road.

That's the only thing I can think of off-hand that would make one wheel further away from the frame than the other without being loose (as in loose bolts or a loose crown nut), unless the 5W has a difference in wheel well clearances.

Look at the back side of both wheel arms, up near where the axle bracket is welded to the frame and see if there is a difference.

Dexter warrants the axles for five years and I believe, but am not sure, that Al-Ko does likewise; your axle might be either one.
