Tow Vehicle & Trailer combos - POST INFO

Moderator's note: we've added a link to the spreadsheet containing the info reported herein. Cheers, y'all.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...6oSPkw/pubhtml

I was thinking, wouldn't it be great if we could have a thread for tug/trailer combinations, wherein everyone could add their rig's info?

Perhaps it would be possible to compile it all to a table (similar to "Trailer Weights in the Real World") in the first post. I don't know exactly how to post and to periodically update a table in the forum, but I'd be willing to try it if Frederick or a mod could give me tips. Even without a table, though, it would be nice to have all the info in a single thread.

Each owner of a FGRV (present or past) could enter the following:
1. Year, make, model of vehicle
2. Engine size (examples: 2.2L 4cyl, or 3.3L V6)
3. Trailer make and size (examples: Scamp 13, Escape 5.0) [note: FG eggs only; no stickie trailers]
4. Typical fuel economy: highway towing, and highway non-towing

What do you all think? I'll go first.
2008 Toyota Highlander
3.5L V6
Burro 17'
14.3 mpg towing, 22.5 mpg non-towing

Doug and Dawn here, 2008 16 ft. Scamp, towed with a 6 cylinder 2012 Ford Escape. 18 mpg pulling the Scamp, a ideal tow vehicle for the 16. No way would I attempt a 4 cyl. Tow vehicle! Not enough in the engine and transmission.

Gosh, what a terrific idea. I will post my mileage once I start towing my burro. I have a 2014 Nissan Frontier extended cab, 2.4 4 cyl. I get about 22 mpg. I will be pulling a 1982 thirteen ft Burro. I have not towed on a trip yet. Thanks. Joe
