Trailer Brake Magnet Retaining Clips

I have a 2017 Scamp 13' and while cleaning and greasing the wheel bearings I noticed the right side brake magnet clip was missing and the electric wires were broken at the magnet. I ordered new magnets and while installing the retaining clip it broke. These are 7" brakes.


Questions:
- Does anyone have a good source for these little clips?
- What is the best way to install them without damaging them?
- Can I use the clips from 10" or 12" brakes? These look like a better design.

I usually find them missing. The 7" are flat and tend to be hard to find. The 10" are triangular shaped. Both have a tab that engages a slot in the magnet control arm. Etrailer claims you can use either. There's also a spring that rusts. I think that comes in the magnet kit. While etrailer sells the clips, postage will be high. As this is a common problem, I'd try a local RV store. I've read Napa sells the 10" clips though I've never looked. I use a needle file to clean the slot. Good luck.

Raz, Thanks for the advice. I checked Napa and they have a pack of 5. I will get them and replace both sides.
