Transmission temps

Does anybody know how to monitor the transmission temp of a Honda Pilot?

I used to do it with a Toyota with the Torque App and a OBD2 Bluetooth device. There is some discussion about doing the same kinda thing at the Honda Pilots forums but a quick look didn't show much. Obviously you will find many more Pilot owners at those forums than here but you never know who will have a solution.

Scan Guage II should be able to do it. I just programmed it to monitor Super Duty truck transmission temp. I am going to program it to monitor my Highlander transmission fluid temp. so I can change and check the fluid level.

IDK about Honda but Toyota would not release the PIDs to mere mortals so when I did had the Torque app is was based on leaked info and required a custom setting and equation. The temps looked about right to me but I was never 100% sure.

Scan Gauge gives the data in tables to program the gage with for each car mfg. It can be downloaded from their website. I had to load about four lines of data to get my transmission temp. for my truck. The gauge allows you to load about 20 spaces for custom data request.

The SG tables give you two options for transmission temp. for later model Honda's.
