Update Electric Brake/Controller install on Boler

Here is an updated link with information for anyone wishing to install electric brakes on their trailer and a brake controller in their vehicle.

Trailer is a 1976 Boler with a 3500 lb rubber torsion axle.

My tow vehicle is a 2002 GMC Sonoma which required that I splice into my stoplight switch as well as drill an access hole through my firewall to route my wiring.

Some vehicles which have been pre-wired for a 7-way trailer connection will have a "plug-n-play" wiring harness that will not require the above two steps. (even easier)

I will also be adding to the photo set when I install my breakaway switch and when I demonstrate the use of the brake controller.

If anyone spots any errors or omissions please let me know.

Wow, great tutorial. I was thinking about doing this and when I went to look at my trailer, the hubs already have wires coming out of them. Does this mean I already have electric brakes and only need a controller? It is a 1990 Scamp 16.

Very good sign! Most all of the 16' models of all manf had brakes.
