I do all my camping in the back country although I do pull my trailer on the highway. I always use heavy tires. Light duty tires wear quickly and can over heat easily. While heavier tires are more expensive to purchase they will last longer so are usually cheaper over their lifespan. My unit is tandem axle. I buy tires that can carry the weight put on both tires so that I can keep going if one tire fails. Heavier tires have a firm but not a rough ride and are more stable in cross winds.
