Mmmmmm! Drafting....

I've done many thousands of miles of that. You get good at listening for impending tread separation.

Got a ticket one time for it in Wyoming from the nicest State Police officer; no, I'm not allowed to draft, but here's how you get 25% off your no-points ticket for having worn your seatbelt!

There's risks, but if you're good at it you can get 40mpg tanks with a pickup truck and teardrop.

To paraphrase Hunter S. Thompson; "I hate to advocate [drafting] to anyone, but [it's] always worked for me."

Didn't the Darwin go to someone drafting a semi awhile back? In recreational cycling drafting w/o consent is really poor etiquette. Don't know why it would be different on the highway.

I think the best answer to the original question
Nothing... not designed for towing... most can get out of their own way on any kind of a grade
Find a different tow vehicle or as someone said earlier please give us all a heads up when you are in our area so we can get safely off the road

My Prius had no trouble at all getting out of its own way.

Your post both makes little sense and seems like it is made with no actual experience with the Prius?

That said,I will never tow with one but on their own they get up and go quite well in my experience.

One is a competitive athletic event, the other is just driving. Apples vs. oranges.

I guess that's one way to look at it, as you decapitate your family by plowing into the rear of a semi.

Drafting.

Getting away with it is not the same as a sound practice.
