The van alone is nice when you're touring, with more driving and shorter stays. We hope to do some of that in coming empty nest years. The trailer with our everyday SUV is nice for destination camping, so you have a smaller vehicle to run around locally. And both together provide extra beds to host a crowd.
The smaller RV types also seem to hold their value better, which is a nice bonus.
I notice your profile says Sprinter. Are you thinking about a small molded tag-a-long?
