I want to put a set of Bed Rails in my 2001 S-10 V6 P/U. It has a from the factory 4400# towing capacity. I would like to fit a conventional 5th wheel Hitch, Reese,Valley, Curt etc(15k). Anyone have any ideas where I can find a set of rails and hardware, universal or??. Thanks in advance for your Reply

I heard Scamp is now using std. 5th wheel bed rails and a new hitch as an option. Check out their facebook page. Anyone selling a 5th. wheel hitch should be able to sell you bed rails, try etrailer for a start. Good luck on finding a 5th wheel std. hardware package for a mid-size pick up.

Amazon has everything you need about as cheap as anyone. I checked Curt's website and they don't show quick-install kit for the S-10. They do have the universal kit, which will probably work for you. Call Curt's tech service for advice.

Note that you need a minimum clearance between the fifth wheel and the back of the cab to avoid crashing the trailer through the truck's back window. You might need a slider to give this clearance.

Thanks; Already have a Reese 15k with 10in. Slider w/o out bed rails. I'll give a few folks a call at Amazon, e-trailer etc. Tom
