We had a great time last year, so let us do it again?
Or will the Scamp camp in Dubuque Ia be a conflict for people?
Let me know your thoughts and I will start making plans.
As we now we have 19 sites and the picnic shelter set aside for that week end.

Thank you Jim H

Hi Jim,

The Lanesboro weekend is on our calendar, we are planning on attending. I don't think there should be a conflict with the Dubuque, Iowa Scamp Camp, in fact I think the timing is perfect.

It gives people an opportunity to come to Lanesboro for the weekend. Then make their way to Dubuque for the Scamp Camp.

Looking forward to it...

Bummer! The same thing happened last year! I am scheduled to be in Lanesboro and will be camping the weekend before the gathering! It's very doubtful that I can stay all week down there! Well, I guess I'll have to see! It would be loads of fun to meet all you!

There are lots of new people from the area that's joined the website. I hope it's there's a great showing!

Web page for Eagle Cliff CG is:
http://www.eaglecliff-campground.com/

I'm adding this to my calender. I was hoping to go last year, but had just purchased my Scamp & needed to make repairs before I could use it.

Are you having a sign up sheet for the potluck to avoid duplicates?

This is a beautiful area with a great paved bike trail and lots to see & do. Looking forward to meeting some other Scamp owners!

No sign up sheet for the pot luck; Soup, Stew, Hot Dish, and breads
last years feed was great.
Everyone found something they liked in the area, and had fun.

Hi Folks

I wasn't able to attend your campout last year, but I now have it on my calendar for this year. I assume we call and make our own reservation is that correct? Is there a special section I should request, some area set up for the fiber glass group?

Incidentally the Dubuque IA Scamp camp is scheduled for Tuesday Sept 26 thru Friday Sept 29th. Several will probably come a day or two early and perhaps stay through the whole weekend.

Thanks for the info for Lanesboro...

If you take a look at my new website, you'll see the campground where the rally is going to be held! The campground is clean with spacious sites, near to Lanesboro or HArmony where you can take a tour of the Amish farms.

Eagle Cliff also has bike and canoe rentals. It's an easy trail over to Whalen, btw, where the Pie Shoppe does a booming business!

My Website featuring my Faberge Egg!

I wish I could join you all. Do you have any demonstrations planned?
How I wish there would be a Dutch Oven workshop!

I am by no means an expert, but I'll bring my 10qt Dutch Oven along and we could experiment with some different things. I attended a seminar put on by Carbela's about a month ago and saw a fellow doing some wonderful things with Dutch Ovens. Maybe if we can get 3-4 folks with Dutch Ovens we could do a hugh Dutch Oven meal for all the participants. Humm...maybe chili...or peach cobbler...or what ever.

Sounds like it will be a fun weekend...I am looking forward to finally being able to put a face with some of the names that I have seen on this web site...two of them will be my "neighbors" in sites number 5 and 7...
