Hi all - we've been traveling and are a bit behind in reading forum, but I don't see the dates on the "Calendar". We'd like to reserve space at Bullard's Beach as soon as possible, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone there in July '07. Thanx, LdB

David and Leslie,
I'll send emails to last year's attenders and post the information here and on the Casita Forum at the time you can reserve. It's coming up soon.

Do you have a map of the campground so when we call we know where to make reservations for? Where do you usually camp? ( months in advance is only like two weeks away. I know you sold out last year so we are thinking of signing up early. It will be the birthday of our Casita. Last year we were in Rice Texas picking up our trailer while you were all enjoying the event.

1 caveat:
Earliest reservations open 9 months to the day before your arrival date.
Reserve America Map of Bullard's Beach State park

I think it goes like this...You can reserve for two weeks...so pick the days you really want to stay and add days to the front end to make the two weeks...Then 9 months to the first of those days you make reservations....latter, you call and change your reservation to just the days you really plan on staying.
But I also get confused easily and forget what I'm thinking about between thoughts and actions and deeds....So when are we supposed to call in???

So we know that its the same weekend as the Sam rally in eastern Oregon, but do we know what loop most of the people reserve? Do we know how many days most people stay? Do we have to reserve for two weeks? I don't get why the two week thing. Will they only take two weeks? We have work in Portland the weekend before so won't be able to get there until like Thursday or so. Is there enough that the whole campground is full of fiberglass? A little more information is needed before registration starts please. Thanks.

1. "A" loop is the most desireable becaues it is closest to the open space where group activities take place. It fills up fast, within hours of initial availability. Fiberglass rigs fill most of "A" and "B" loops.
2. The "Official" dates have historically been from Friday Afternoon through Sunday Morning. Many people like to arrive on Thursday and leave on the following Monday. Some like to make a whole vacation of it. (see #3)
3. [b]No, you do not have to reserve for two weeks.
4. See answer #2.
5. Not yet, but we're working on it. Last year it was between 2/3 and 3/4 With fiberglass rigs in all 3 loops.

I tried booking but they won't let me go into the weekend of the event and even booking two weeks only gets you close to the event dates. Are you telling me that there is a rush the first day they become available? Wow.

Nancy will send us an e-mail telling us when to reserve, but about the 12th we can book for two weeks...from the 12th through the 22nd....then about a month or so latter we can change the reservation for only the 19th to the 22nd. This way we can book for the 19th to the 22nd earlier than anyone who waits untill the 19th to book. When the 19th gets here everyone who hasn't booked a week earlier will be scrambling to get an A-loop space. Get it????

In order to get on Nancy's e-mail list, you need to either be a prior participant of the Oregon Gathering...or send her an e-mail requesting to be put on the list.
Time to start planning...wooohooo!!! The Oregon Gathering WILL be a topic of discussion at the Northern Oregon Gathering

They have to pull up the crab pots. I will have a hard time doing it myself.
