WY | 2013, July 14-18: Yellowstone in July

The caravan is leaving Las Vegas on Saturday July 13, heading up I-15. All the information is on Facebook. Join in at any point along the road, or join up with us there.

Myself and Rick have camped I. Tents, hammocks, travel trailers, backpacked, canoed, fished, dutch oven cooked, grilled, hiked, photographed, and sat around MANY campfires together!

lvgator didn't you just purchase a Scamp 13' deluxe? You need to update your "currently shopping".

Our Brand new Scamp travel trailer 13 footer has a bathroom with a shower and toilet. I believe that a "Deluxe"Edition has upgraded cabinets. Mine doesn't. It has tan decals cause I paid extra for the swap. I wanted the color to match my truck.

Hey, I'm going to a conference at Big SKy just a bit after that. If I get a new tow car in time (my RAV 4 blew a head gasket), maybe I could meet you there for some of the earlier days. I'd be coming from the Seattle area, either via Northern Idaho & Montana or (if the new car has AC) Boise & Southern Idaho. If the latter, I suppose I could find you in Grand Teton?

Grand Teton and Yellowstone are my favorite places to go on a road trip to, so I wanted to mention I've been there maybe 4 times in the past 7 years, if there's any questions about taking a small fiberglass RV around there, I might know an answer.

I do suggest reserving a night at the Hard Sided RV Park at Fishing Bridge (sort of the next stop north from Grant's Village). To get some electricity and recharge the batteries and if it's cold, to warm up. And to hear a wolf howl in the middle of the night.
