What is weather like in October out there?

Did a check. Manzanita, 6 inches rain in October. Less earlier in the month and more later. Temps look good. Checked Bandon and they have less rain in October, so maybe the way to go is start north and head south.

My source doesn't say anything about fog!

You guys are killing me. 80 degrees out there and I am still looking at a frozen Mississippi out my window.

Cari & I have lived in Astoria for the past 20+ years and we typically see some of the nicest weather in mid October...an "Indian Summer" most years.

We plan gold prospecting trips up to the last weekend in October every year. And now that we have our little egg we will extend that to year round adventures. (the Parkliner replaces setting up a screen room for the kitchen...something we came to hate doing with our unpredictable PNW weather!)

Have been looking at your gathering in Oregon this October. We will be picking up our new Scamp 13' in August and driving back home to Yelm, WA. Are you welcoming new people to your gathering? I see that sight A6 is open, but wondering if it too far away from everyone. We have been camping in a small pop-up tent trailer and are looking forward to camping in our Scamp. Dave & Connie Harris PS There was one spot left, site A28, so reserved for Oct 10th, 11th and 12th.

Hi Dave we welcome ALL. New folks, ole hands to the NOGs, wannabes, folks in tents or stick builts. It's the all molded towables that bring us together, but it's really all about the PEOPLE.

We enjoyed "swinging by" the July Bandon Bullard's Beach meet so much that we've reserved our site (A60) for the October NOG. We loved the South coast and are now looking forward to exploring the North! Oregon is fast becoming one of our favourite go-to places
