Yesterday I contacted the LBL Admin Office and was informed that if the government should shut down it will not interfere with LBL operations. The Piney CG will be OPEN. Listed below is a partial schedule of activities. A more specific schedule will be passed out when you arrive.

THR - 6PM Welcome campfire.

FRI - 10AM Camping Tips for Camping Trips.
3PM Group Photo.
5PM Potluck dinner & evening campfire

SAT- 10AM Live snake presentation by LBL staff.
12PM Brunch (potluck leftovers)
2PM Open House tour of trailers.
5PM Bauers Family Restaurant
7PM Door Prize drawing & early Halloween party.

The Oliver Trailer company has made reservations and will be bringing a display model. I heard that they are also bringing some goodies for the door prize drawing. When you arrive please stop by site 338 and pick up a schedule. The numbered schedules are how I get an accurate count of how many trailers we have in attendance. Last year we had 45. Have a safe trip.

P.S. The bathroom/shower house in our area is brand new. It just opened last weekend.

The campground is closed due to the shut-down....if they get things resolved...we plan on being there Thursday

The campground office called & said the reservations are now canceled. If things are worked out & they reopen, it sounds like we would have to make a new reservation.

Just got the call also, reservations are cancelled. If government goes back to work she said it would be first come first serve?

Received call about cancellation of sites, clerk stated that if they open, no reservations will be taken all the sites will be first come/first served.

Was wondering if anybody has a back up plan

Is a tn state park nearby, we could crash it! Like those things that a group just shows up!

Well it was just a thought.
Been planning to see all these folks all year, just hate to toss in the towel

Piney Campground is closing due to the Government "Shut-Down". I have been in contact with Dennis Archer (our Host for the Event) He has made arrangements for us to move the event to the KOA Campground at Paris Landing at a reduced rate. (This is just across the Lake from Piney) Those interested in attending can make reservations by phone at 731-642-6895 (mention that you are in the Fiberglass Group for discount) Looking forward to seeing everyone again! Safe travels! Oh...you will need to know this...The KOA sign is being renovated so you will go about 5 miles past Paris Landing State Park....look for the Dollar General Store...turn left there to reach the campground!

Great I am calling now/ phone busy/ but I am planning to try and get a spot. Wondering if the campground would let us double up on a spot, so all of us could still get together? I'd go with out electricity if that would help

Called and have a spot, talked to reservation clerk about doubling up and she said that maybe a possibility to enable all to get together. I let her know if I would double up to make it possible for another rally camper to attend.
Call and make a reservation and and if you are willing to double up letr her know

I look at it this way : THIS IS A TEMPORARY INCONVIENCE
FOR A PERMANENT GAIN
