Oct 3-5, 2013 LBL Piney Campground, Shortleaf Loop. Please do not reserve Sites 319 & 338. These will be occupied by the host & co-host. If the Shortleaf Loop is full get a site in Loblolly Loop. Reservations may be made six months in advance by calling 800-525-7077 or at www.lbl.org. Please bring a Hawaiian shirt for the group photo if you own one. This year's theme for both the Open House tour of trailers and the Potluck will be Halloween. Bring decorations and costumes if you care to participate. You may contact the host Dennis Archer by PM through this site or 931-801-7178.

I have put off posting this but I owe it to all of our friends. Last week while returning from the Florida rally my co-host, Barbara Melton, passed away in her sleep while visiting her sister-in-law in Memphis. She will be missed. I met her and her husband Hoby five years ago and we have camped together several times a year each year since then. She has served as a co-host each year since we started the LBL rally three years ago. In Sebring at the Scamp Camp she placed a necklace of beads around my neck for Fat Tuesday as she did every year. She was concerned about my health and had Hoby contact my wife to get on me about eating more and taking better care of myself. When someone you know dies a little bit of you dies with them. I can not express how much I will miss her. Please keep her husband Hoby and her loving family in your prayers. Barb was a very religious person and she was very comfortable with her beliefs. The LBL rally will never be the same.

Dennis, I came on here to let you know that Marilyn and I just reserved site 318 for Thurs through Sunday, and saw the post about Barbara. Such sad news! I hope Hoby is doing OK.
We always enjoyed camping with Barb and Hoby at LBL and Sebring.

Well I lucked up and got site 349. I guess there was a cancelation. I hope to have a 2014 model 22' Oliver but might be in a 2008 22'. Anyway I look forward to taking a break and see you at the rally.
