Made our reservation to lock in 2012 rate plus the $10discount. Hard to think this far ahead. Kind of like preparing for the Oregon gathering in July, only three less days of driving to get there.

Katie,

This is at Wildwood. Go back to the first and second posts for information.

Our State Parks are difficult to have gatherings at because of the reservation system. Our parks keep lots of sites non reservable. Keeping folks together is difficult. Come join us at Wildwood.

Apples anyone

I found an apple orchard that we will be sure to visit when we all meet up in September.

Minnesota Apple Varieties

This link has the harvest date and uses for Minnesota apples.

Well gang we are working on the outing and the fun stuff around the area. Looks like we will have an apple press so if any of you can bring a bucket of apples we can try some homemade apple cider. There are apple orchards and wineries around the area. We chose Wildwood RV Park as the State Parks have very few reservable sites and we would not be able to keep the group together. Also Wildwood offered us a reduction on their rates which includes a heated building for activities if the weather does not cooperate. We look forward to seeing many of you and we hope that the Autumn colors cooperate with our schedule. There will be music, music, music every evening, so bring your instruments and voices and join in the fun.

My wife and I are just wondering if this rally is still going to happen. We have been Scamperless for a number of years but recently found us a beauty and we are close to Taylor Falls. We are thinking of coming up to our first rally.

Hi Jerry,

Yes, this gathering will be happening and we look forward to meeting you and your wife. Fred and I will be attending and I just happened to be the first to see your post. Welcome to the group.

To all the gathering is going to happen and we will welcome all those who are thinking of putting Taylor falls on the to do this fall. Everything is shaping up to be a fun time. There are many places for people to go if they choose to snoop around in the area that was why we chose it for eggs fall outing 2013.

Hi Cricket. Call the park and make your reservations, be sure to ask for the gathering discount. We look forward to meeting you.

Thanks for bringing this thread back to the top, I just logged in to do that.

The Scrambled Eggs group goes to different campgrounds in the spring and fall, this is the same group of folks from Duluth and Minden, NE. June, 2014 will be in Door County, WI.

I'll talk to Pete and Jackie in August at St. Malo, Manitoba gathering. I've a couple of ideas, but this is their gathering so want to ask what they think before I post anything about what Fred and I will be doing during the gathering.

The evening music is great entertainment. Be sure the kids can stay up until 10:00 for that. Popcorn and a great time.

Do we need to bring anything special to an egg rally?

Cricket,

There is always a pot luck dinner either Friday or Saturday.

Any other events or activities are determined by whoever is hosting the gathering. Since excellent musicians are hosting this one I expect evening music to be the main theme.

I always keep an inexpensive something in the trailer. Homemade or $5-10 purchase. It just stays in the trailer in case a gathering has an exchange. Usually not though. After finishing a couple of nature themed jig saw puzzles I decided that they will get stored for any possible white elephant needs.

Just bring your family and any music instruments you might play.

We are all signed up! There will be four of us there in the Scamp (unless we bring the new play-mor II on her maiden voyage)! Looking forward to it!
