Comparable dates in 2013 should be September 6-8, but John should confirm this.

okie dokie,,,,, i am considering a raffle for the 2013 scramble.

the major consideration is what? and how much?

one thing we can do is have some fun little thing we can raffle off that would have little or no monitary value,,,but great fun value. this would be for a raffle ticket that each attendee would recieve just for showing up.
ideas or sugjestions for this? maybe a real nice kite or something?

another thing would be something of more value, that may be one of those "dream list" things we might want for out camping. say a really nice popcorn machine? or a beautiful dutch oven? a nice pair of binoculars to watch freighters,,,or birds, or,,what ever you like to watch while camping
other considerations,,, ?ideas?thoughts?

i do have some ideas about some "pure michigan" items we can get.

oh,,, and if anyone gets up to algonac in the meantime,,,just a few miles up the road at marine city is "the marine city fish company" i ate there last week and it is a must do to have dinner there if your in the area. we are going to the park this weekend for the harvest festival with our grandkids, and i will make sure gramma and i get to go there to eat. wonderfull all you can eat walleye, with home made chips. even their coleslaw is home made and absolutely outstanding.

This is a small Airstream, but using this picture as a guide, I'll bet someone could find an artist to make up an image of a fiberglass trailer...

reservations.

as soon as they begin takiing reservations for that week i will announce it here , so keep watch. if we act quickly when the time comes we can get a nice tight cluster like we had last time,,,maybe even better.
i have my eye set on a site right by the road, the last site , as it has a nice grassy area to have our dinner/party on. my assumption is the grass will be softer when folks tip over then the gravel was. plus there is a fence to act as a safety rail so we won't fall off the ground.

How about some sort of "award" for oldest camper, youngest, came the farthest, came the shortest distance, longest married, newest married, etc?

Hey, John, which site by the road (site number ?). I wouldn't mind being close to the road this time, so I can watch those freighters up close.

Hey Alf,
will these dates (9/6-9/8) compete with your Niagara Wine Escape time frame?
