Hi: cpaharley2008... So far I have a 3 day weekend off work starting Fri. the 13th. Sept. I hope every one isn't superstitious. I will be contacting The Riverside again this year, as most all campers like it there.
Sorry I haven't had time to set up the official date yet...My wife was in hosp. and will be off work for some time. We should be back to normal soon.

i will be going out to algonac on sunday for a work day with the dnr. will make sure everything is still there and report on the snow conditions,,and double check on when we can begin making reservations.
i intend to go for site 56 as that gives us a nice big unused lawn area that we can use for our dinner gathering. not real sure but i might decide to stretch my stay for a few more days,,, i'm getting too many vacation days saved up and may need to use some up.

When retired weekends get a bit longer. Ours starts on Saturday morning and ends on the following Friday night.

To make a reservation, first Google "Algonac State Park" to get to the park website. Then, select the Make Reservations link. This takes you to the actual reservations page. You want to make reservations in the Riverfront Campground, somewhere in sites 50 - 75, since John Warren (the host) is trying to get site 56 as a central site. However, the reservations are not yet open for Sept. 6-8. You will need to wait until about March 10 to go in and get a site.

Good luck!

Hi, Charles, looking forward to meeting you! I'll be there with my little UHaul CT13. Anyone going up before Friday? I'm thinking I'll go up one day early on Thursday

We had so much fun last year... We are going back to the same location as last year...Note: I will be bringing my industrial scale so we can weigh trailer tongues. Did this at Caesar Creek Ohio at the Casita rally.(free just for fun) Some were shocked and some were pleasantly surprised. We will be there Wed September 4th till the 8th.......You can almost smell the beans!!!! Did I mention we had so much fun last year...........
