Lisa, the park is full. I now have four people on a wait list and someone who needs additional days. Can you come out for the day? Friday or Saturday would be good.

Hope you can make it.

THREE WEEKS TO SPRING NOG!

Thought I should post the schedule, such as it is. Let me know via PM if you have any questions.

All these activities occur in site A22.... my site.

THURSDAY, April 24 - on your own

FRIDAY, April 25
No host dinner on a stick! Anytime 6pm or later. Please bring everything including the condiments on the bun. This is NOT a potluck, just a chance to have dinner with everyone else. Some like sausage dogs; others the highbrow fancy dogs, so bring what you want to roast. Or, eat at your trailer and bring your lawn chair and join in the conversation. Smore's and roasting Peeps encouraged too.

Craft Beer Exchange - 7pm SHARP
Bring a six pack of craft beer from your area brewers. Trade one bottle/can for a different bottle/can. This is an opener event. BUT, you don't have to be a beer drinker to enjoy the camaraderie and NOG fire pit... just bring your smiling face and a lawn chair.

SATURDAY, April 26
Pot Luck! Dinner at 6pm SHARP. Bring a dish to share. Any type of dish – main dish, side, salad or dessert. Bring your chairs, table service, and what you want to drink. Wood is always welcome!

NAME TAGS! Everyone, please make/bring/wear a nametag. We have lots of newbies coming, let's make it easy on them. I have some raffle prizes to give away. But, you have to be wearing a name tag to WIN.

As usual, everyone is welcome to participate in anything and everything... or NOT. No pressure here. Just come and have a good time.

Yo' happy crampers!
Been a long time since I've visited here.
We're looking forward to revisiting you all at the April NOG.
Simon & I, True and our new puppy Holly, will be arriving on Wed, Apr 23, for 4 nights.
By my count, that's nine more sleeps!

And, yes, I'll set up a BOOK EXCHANGE TABLE.
So bring up to 3-4 *good* books, and leave them at our site (A-31) on the book table.
Take as many books as you wish.

I have a couple of Book Reading REcommendations:
SNAPPER
GONE GIRL
THE PIG DID IT

See you at the NOG!
Cheerios,
Sharen & Simon & the family fuzzybutts

Can we visit?

Would it be ok if my husband and I stopped by the park to get an idea of what a fiberglass trailer is like? We are thinking they would be a great way to spend our upcoming retirement days

Thanks Pam

Is anyone able to give me a rough idea as to what it might cost to have a dozen or so stitches pulled out of a hand at a walk in medical clinic...... something it looks like I might need to have done if I stick with the plan to attend the rally..... being Canadian I haven't a clue as to what it might cost in the US.... any rough ideas appreciated. Had hoped to have them out prior to leaving on Thursday but after a quick look by the doc and dressing change today it doesnt sound like its going to happen.

Friend had a toe looked at in Phoenix, bandaged and was given a "kit" to take with him. Consisted of some gauze, some tape, a tiny tube of some sort of ointment, in a zip-lock. He was covered by company health plan so no problem, but somehow the bill was sent to him. They charged the insurance company more than $200 for the first aid kit.

Anything is negotiable. If they give you a price, writhe in pain and say you can only pay 1/2 that.

Negotiate! Now there is an idea maybe we have a nurse or a doc at the meet that has a pair of tweezers and scissors they are willing to spend a min taking them out for me in exchange from some *good* Canadian beer or *real* Smirnoff Ice coolers???

Well I do have extended health insurance which will cover me in the USA and they will pay but I pay first and they reimburse up to x so many dollars but..... this is a pre exciting problem happened in Canada so I have a hunch the insurance company would say sorry not our fault you went to the US with an injury.....

Surgical scissors and forceps for the win. And a beer or two.
It's really a pretty simple procedure.

Pics or it never happened.

We have several RNs and PAs that come to the NOGs... no insurance needed!

Crap Carol, give me some needle nose pliers and a beer I can yank those stitches out. Canadian beer gets you a kiss on the "ouchie."

I once had my vet remove stitches from my forehead! He was tending to my horses and I said,"oh, by the way...". He thought it was hysterical! Country gals do what they gotta do!
