Thank you, Tim and Nancy! You are on the LIST! Looking forward to meeting you and you must see Troy's Burro!
Troy are you waiting to make your reservations? I remember that it's sometimes necessary for you to wait.
And a big "hello" back to Carl.
Hi Kip...I see you are online!

Is there a particular set of sites reserved or a section on hold?

Hey Todd,
Absolutely! You folks would be most welcome. Plenty of spaces available right now.
As you can see, another Escape, from GA, has already registered for this rally.
Please just let Lynne, me or this forum know, so we can add you to the list!

Info and stuff for newcomers
Hello,
For those that haven't attended a Cherokee rally.
In 2013 we filled the orange 70-93 row starting with the sites closest to the Comfort station and spreading from there. It is on the West creek and is stocked with trout. The 900 row was filled, starting near the comfort station and spreading. We filled Sites 94-108 (white) on the front creek. There were 10 Eggs on the 800 Row and a couple on 700. And 1 or 2 on the lake. There were a few non-rally units mixed in with us, but very few. FWIW.:Lynne is on 97 and I'm on 919.
http://www.happyholidayrv.com/assets/Happy-Holiday-RV-Village-Site-Map.pdf
It is about 9/10ths of a mile around the inside perimeter road and fine for bike riding. There are lots of Mallard ducks on the lake, so those camping on them can expect lots of feathered company.
Right now we KNOW of 13 reservation that have contacted us or posted on this web site. There may be more. Important that we know for planning purposes. And so that we can use our "Power of Numbers" for negotiating with "Happy Holiday". (HH) Discounts, ETC.. Lynne has already gotten us some extra days with the 20% discount.
Last year Penny and Her husband (Management) went out of their way to accommodate us. They were great to work with and we anticipate the same for 2014.
In 2013 even with threatening weather the park pretty much filled. The best way to insure a site you like, be with the group, and next to another Egg is to register early. If you should have to cancel, HH has policies for that.
For planning purposes, here are the reserved sites we know of:
74-75-84-95-96-97-106-107-834-900a-914-919-924a.
This includes our latest registers, Todd and Kimberly. Welcome!
Again, we ask that everyone inform us of your reservation, cancellation, or changing sites.
Thanks,
Kip

Paul, my wife Ann is better at giving backing directions than I am.
They look something like this.
And once in place, there are mixed emotions from me. . .
Fortunately 923 is a pull through.
Got your move to 923 recorded. Thanks for the info.

Lynne, I'm sorry but I haven't made my reservations yet but I really need to. It has been necessary in the past but I think I'm just dragging my feet this time. I will do that first of the year. And let you know where I am. by the way, you were telling me about a site on Facebook that you belong to if you don't mind would you send me a link. it's starting to look like its going to be one of the best rallies yet. I'm looking forward to being there this year.

Troy, my three favorite Facebook groups: Casita Owners, Egg Camping Club and Dutch Oven Cooking. All found by doing a search. Have fun! Sorry if this got off topic....Surely ties back into the Cherokee rally.

Wow!
Thanks Patty, George, Rhonda, Greg, and Jane.
Looking sooo forward to seeing all of you.
Got all 5 of you and your 3 rigs on the list.
Looks like the U-Hauls and Burros each have 2 now. Should be some interesting mods.
This makes a count of 16 rigs that we know of. However I talked to Penny (manager) at HH a couple of days ago when we had a count of 13.
She said they are organizing the "EGG" folder, and thought there were more than 13.
I'll be calling her again next week for a more accurate count.
