I've signed up for a site with a nice water view. I'm looking forward to a weekend of camping in Sept. and taking a break from work. Seems likely that the weather will be cooler than usual for the time of year, which would be nice.

I agree with you, the weather should be great for camping! Arkansas has had a cooler than normal summer! So the fall should be excellent! Lots of wonderful fall colors with all of the leaves turning colors!

I won't be able to head out there until after work on Friday... no ice cream for me.

I just got back home from the rally. It looked like everyone had a nice time. I know I enjoyed hobnobbing with everyone, eating grilled food and ice cream (they must have postponed the ice cream social to Saturday just for me!), and seeing some eggs. Of course Herschel and Darlene's Snoozy/Shuttlecraft was there for all to see, and it sure felt comfortable and homey.

I snapped a few pictures of the gang at the big Saturday evening cookout, so here they are.









A big thank-you to Bess and Dennis (a/k/a "Steve") for letting me have some of their aluminum foil, without which my meal on the charcoal would not have happened. The 3 objects in the middle of the grill (last photo) are my tilapia fillets.

By the way, Herschel (BAMA) was telling us about a quiet little generator he bought, manufactured right close to his place (Ft. Smith area), and it was a fair bit less than the Hondas. BAMA, I forgot the name of that thing, can you tell us? Does the company have a website?

Thank you for posting the pictures? We were at the rally on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. But, we left for home on Saturday around noon. We met a lot very nice people and had a wonderful time. There was noting wrong with the food or fellowship! We left with lots of ideas and information!
Sorry, we did not get to meet you! Maybe, next year?
