Harley, I'll have to call up the local shipyards and ask them to make sure we have some good looking freighters go by all weekend. Everyone remember your binoculars.

Check posting #25 to see all the sites we have.
We are now up to 28 attendees.

If anyone has any skills or a small class that they want to share with the other Eggers, such as Scouter Dave's survival bracelets on post #68, let me know and we can put aside some time for it.

If you're interested in that sort of thing, freighters need to check in with "Sarnia Traffic" at different points along the St. Clair River. This section uses channel 11 (156.55 VHF) if you have a scanner or perhaps a handheld VHF radio. Normally not much more than their name and what call-in point they are nearing. Near Algonac: The Salt Dock (up and downbound), Light 23 (downbound and already past us) and X(ray)32 (upbound and soon to pass Algonac). I generally have a scanner running in the background when camping.

Friday night

I could do the Friday night campfire if you like. Nothing too formal but I am sure that we could share a few camping stories, tell a few lies, check out the snakebite medicines and swat a few nippers.
Could we get two people to each tell a short story that may or may not be true. Then the assembly can vote on if it is or not. Prizes for the best whopper!
I will also bring some extra bracelets and a hat band for prizes and a bottle of home-made wine if I can get it through.
Be prepared to re-cycle the "Survival Award" [I did not eat the Lifesavers]. I will return it and pass it on.
Scouter Dave

Our First Rally

Pam, new guy here. My wife Joanne and I plan on taking our brand new (Aug 1st pickup) Scamp 13 to your Rally. This will be our first! I reserved site #140. We are living in IL but come from New Baltimore, and can't wait to return. My brother reserved an adjacent site for his pop-up. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Quick question, I no longer have access to my email from March of this year when I made the reservation and paid my fees. Is there some proof I need to show other than who I am upon arrival??

I took in my proof, but am not sure that I needed it.
If you go to the reservation site, and log in with the email and password that you used to reserve, you can still see your reservations. I'll bet you could sign on and change to your new email addy and resend the receipt.

I don't think so either. I'm sure that if you had your reservation number (did you print the confirmation notice?) that would show paid against the site.

I lost my reservation number and called 1 - 800 - 447 - 2757 for assistance. After answering their questions they gave me the reservation number and re-sent the confirmation e-mail.

Can someone tell me if there is a table and a fire ring at each site?
