The only place I know down there is a cg called Morris Meadows? Ironically, map quest takes me north up to Harrisburg to get on I81 south? Maybe we will see you on I81, hoping to leave around midnight or early morning, about 10 hours for me, to arrive by lunchtime @ Townsend. There is a shortcut down by Knoxville that eliminates the Dollywood/Pigeon Forge traffic that has worked great going and returning the last 3 years for me.

That's it. It's called Merry Meadows now. You could take 83 south into Md to 695 west to 70 west to 81 south.

The best way in from the north is to go through Knoxville on I-40 to I-140 and take to that to Maryville and Highway 321. Take 321 into Townsend then Highway 73 to the campground. I would advise not going through Pigeon Forge because they always have something going on that ties up traffic. Your GPS will not take you this way but should reroute you after you go through downtown Knoxville.

Yes, I'm originally from Baltimore. I can also take 15 down to Frederick and then over to I81, several choices. Send me a p/m once you decide on departure times. Yes, Tom, that is the way I was suggesting, thru Maryville, a little longer distance wise but less traffic and an easier drive.

I will be back in Townsend this year, but heading up from the Clearwater, Fl area this year. Bob and I became snowbirds, and from the weather reports from back home I sure am glad we did.
I think that I am on site 121, same one as last year.

Good news for me but I am really sorry that somebody had to cancel. I got site 112, I Will be getting there on April the 15th leaving on the 19th. Looking forward to meeting some good new friends and seeing some great old friends.

I somehow missed that Springstream is the weekend before this and we attend it every year with our Airstream friends...so we are going to cancel our spot and hope to see you guys somewhere else down the road...the lady at the KOA said she had a list of people wanting spots for the Egg Rally...so someone here will get it

So....is it too late to sign up for this rally? I pulled my new-to-me Parkliner home three days ago and I would love to come to Townsend in April. I will call KOA tomorrow to get on the wait list. Do I need to sign up specifically for the rally anywhere else? Thanks...Rhonda

Our new Scamp 13' won't be ready until the end of May. We live a few hours away and would love to come by and meet some folks and get some ideas. Are these gatherings similar to rallies (open houses, vendors, etc.)? If we just came for the day would we be welcome to walk around and maybe get a peak inside a camper or two?

Saturday, 4/18 will be the open house tours but if you come earlier or later I'm sure you can see the ones you would like, most of us are flexible.

Keep an eye on the Facebook group and this forum thread. Often folks will need to cancel at the last minute and post their intent here (or there).

Judy - there aren't many vendors who attend, but most camper owners will happy to let you see inside their camper. You'll see old / new / modified, etc and get lots of ideas. As CPA said, we schedule a camper "showing" for Saturday a.m. after Breakfast, but most folks will let you peek in whenever.
