Donna, we did see all of that and much, much more. The gorge is beautiful, as is the entire area. We swam, hiked, cliff jumped, toured Dams, visited, climbed Multnomah Falls, and even drove to Portland and ate at Urban Beer Works (and drank a much needed tasty brew).
We'll never forget Sam Hill country!

Two newbies

Barb, Tiger (canine with a feline name, but his size and coloring make that a no brainier!), and I (Alan) will be there on Friday, departing Monday. Looking forward to meeting everyone, both 2 and 4 legged. We're in #25. It's also my birthday weekend!

I will be cancelling our reservation for site for number 24, (I think) but with my mental confusion I am not sure if that is the right number.

My mind will get more worse in the future, so I have stopped trailer camping, and will selling our trailer in the spring, after I have cleaned it up and checked it over for possible water system leaks, after the recent bitter freeze.

I have also cancelled our site reservation at L. L. Stubbs campground in Oregon. but no one can reserve it unless they will have a handicap......that has been available to us in past years because Sandy has titanium knee joints, and needs proximity to the rest room.

So sad to see Mike's post...and I have an idea...

...to share with Mike & Sandy and all those that know them

Mike and Sandy have been longtime senior members of FGRV and have contributed so much to our happiness (Strawberry Shortcake w/Whipped Cream, education (how to turn bowls and ornaments on a portable machine (forgotten the name of it), and then donated many of his handicraft to our various meets. Last but not least, in my book, is the fact that they gave me a shining example of how to enjoy camping as I age into senior status.
I'm sure others, like me, would enjoy giving something back to these two friends.
Mike says he's going to put his trailer up for sale this Spring, after he cleans and makes sure all systems are in running order. Well, I'd like to be one of the first to volunteer my trailer-cleaning skills, and I'm sure his other friends could sign up for an early Spring date to check and fix, if needed, the appliance & operating systems, and give our expertise in helping advertise it's sale (so that nobody tries to badger him on Craigslist or any of the other forums to go any lower than the maximum price going.
I'D Like to run this by Mike/Sandy and all of you to get your ideas of how we might accomplish this best.

Thanks for the generous offer for help on the trailer, but I have made a date with the nearby Camping World, which has done other work for me, and the best part, I can tow our trailer from home near west Tacoma all to Fife on city streets without going onto the freeway (and back), so it will very easy and stress-free.

Again, thanks Barb and all.

Mike and Sandy,

We will miss you! We have fond memories of our campouts together. The strawberry shortcakes, Sandy's sewing hints and Mike's beautiful bowls (we are the proud owners of one). All the best to you both.

Take care and happy trails, wherever they may lead you.
Dave & Kathie

Hi Mike,

This is a longshot, but has your site for the NOG at LL Stubbs been taken yet? I do have a disabled vet designation and it seems the park is all full for that weekend.

ahhhhh, you posted in the Maryhill gathering thread, but are asking about the Spring NOG. Maryhill is in May in Washington. Spring NOG is in two weeks in Oregon: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ing-65416.html

Oooops.

Hey there Donna,

Yup, I posted here in the Maryhill thread, mostly in response to Mike Price's post about his cancellation for both the Maryhill and NOG gathering.

I will be cancelling our reservation for site for number 24, (I think) but with my mental confusion I am not sure if that is the right number.

I have also cancelled our site reservation at L. L. Stubbs campground in Oregon. but no one can reserve it unless they will have a handicap......that has been available to us in past years because Sandy has titanium knee joints, and needs proximity to the rest room.

I've been checking the LL Stub Stewart campground for any open sites without any luck. The good news is I've reserved Site #13 for Maryhill and look forward to meeting you and everybody else there!
