Escape uses Carefree of Colorado awnings. Super simple and really sturdy.

I think Suvi was asking about Dave&Kathie's orange PahaQue. Here's a link Suvi: PahaQue's Family Camping Tents -- Tents

First Gathering

Ok, I'm signed up for 26a, Thursday through Sunday. Looking forward to my first meet and a new camping season.
Other than normal camping, what should one be prepared for?
Any special things I should bring?
Any way to help out?

Jim

Hey Jim, I'll post the doin's about two weeks before the NOG. Here's a direct link to the schedule for Fall NOG. It will be just about exactly the same. 2015 Fall NOG - Northern Oregon Gathering - Casita Travel Trailer Forum - Page 3

I'll get the participant's list and map updated over the coming weekend.

Donna's right - I think you mean the Paha Que. We love it. Comes in 10 and 12 ft - ours is a 12 ft. Not cheap but it's bomb proof - has lasted longer than any others through rain, wind sleet, etc.

Greetings Jim,
I read that you are from "Washington (dry side)" ...
well : ) as you probably know, anything west of Mount Hood in Oregon is like...
the not-so-dry-side of the state.

So bring your rain gear too.

From one who's been rained on in nearly every month of camping.

Cheers,
Thom

I just couldn't seem to secure a site on the Waterloo online web. I think I'll call in, tomorrow, and try to get personal help from the reservations desk. Or maybe there have been cancellations, within our group. Please keep me in mind for cancellations, and I will let you know, if I get a site first. Thank You, THANK YOU! I'm ready to camp! It looks as if we not only get a senior rate but get 2 nights with the 3rd night FREE. Is that how others also read it?

Suvi, as others have said its a Carefree - Escape has in the past put them on other brands of FG trailers at what I am told was a real good price. I know they are REALLY busy these days so they may or may not still be doing it for other FG brands but worth calling to find out.

That's the one, Donna! Thanks!

Got a great option for a boler awning... when I feel like I have some money to burn on it! - but for now, something more detached

Hey Suvi,

Yes (thanks Donna) we have the Paha Que but I would not say it is easy for one person to put up. It is possible, I know Anne H puts hers up by herself. It's a great shelter!

For others looking for a spot at Waterloo, they often open up the B loop for overflow, it's worth a call...

Kathie

12 Volt Chest Stye Frig at this Event?

I am considering a 12 volt chest style frig and was wondering if anyone will have one at this event that I can see? Something like the Dometic CF-18, CFX 35, or similar. It is a lot of money to spend sight unseen, and to hear running.

Looking forward to my first event.

Thanks.
