Do I need to sign up on the Casita or Escape sites, or is this forum a portal to fiberglass nirvana?

You're Good
Actually, no need to 'sign up' at all. Just show up.
It would be nice, however, to let us know if you are coming and your information (see post #1) to add to the sense of community.
For me, this is the main event as to blogs as I have neither a Casita nor an Escape.
NOTE: The letter after the date indicates which blog you have signed up on. This makes it easier for me as to keeping the list organized.

So, there seems to be a bit of confusion on the date for the 2016 WAG. It usually is the first weekend of June but this year, the Free Fishing Weekend is the second weekend, 11th & 12th. Some have made their reservations for the first weekend already and since it's early probably isn't difficult to change. We have made ours for the second weekend. Some don't care about the fishing aspect of things and will choose to stay where they are the first weekend. Let us know what you think. I have posted on Casita Forum and Casita Club as well with the 11th & 12th dates. Discussion is welcome....

The first weekend of June
The Taidnapam WAG is NOT changing. It is staying the first weekend of June.
Since we posted for the first weekend and have several persons signed up and we are between the Escape and Vancouver Island weekends we will keep it there.

Okay, so after reading the Dec. post we changed our reservations for a fee and now are finding out it is back to the first week-end instead?

So, here's the rub. Roger posted the gathering as the first weekend in June which is what it has always been. Unbeknownst to Roger, the Free Fishing Weekend this year is the second weekend in June. From I understand, the main reason for the gathering date in the first place years ago was to coincide with the Free Fishing Weekend. I made my reservations to match up with the fishing weekend as did Don who is from Idaho and likes to take advantage of not having to buy a fishing license for that weekend. Roger doesn't care about fishing so it doesn't mean a whole lot to him and he has a conflict for the second weekend anyway. I'm sure there are others who also don't care about fishing. I know that Sharen/Simon & Barb B are also planning on the second weekend. Soooooo..... It appears that there are going to be two gatherings this year one on each weekend. Take your choice and we'll see where the sun shines brightest. Not the end of the world and we'll try REALLY hard to get back together for next year. Just a case of getting wires crossed.......

You're not the only one that had conflicts with dates this year. BC Fiberglass Eggs has been the last weekend of May for 4 years now so people with Escapes can attend our rally and Escape Trailers rally held first weekend in June. This year, Escape changed their weekend to the last week in May and I didn't notice it when I booked our date. I guess we'll see how many trailers we get. Lol.

Maureen and I will be there Friday June 3rd and leave Sunday June 5th. For us this weekend actually works best with everything else happening. We are reserved in site 274 next to the field. Everyone who shows up is invited to our site for the traditional Saturday night potluck.

And it worked out so well, they're sticking with it again this year: ETI Customer Appreciation Rally - May 27 - 29, 2016

Last few years we have booked our rally the Memorial weekend but last year there was an extra
week in May. I never looked at Escape, thinking they were still doing the first weekend of June
but this year they also booked the Memorial weekend. We will have to get together this fall and
make sure we don't clash next year. :-)

Hi. We are brand new Scamp owners (1981, 13') - although we've been dreaming about one for several years now. We'll be in site 24 from June 3-5. This will be our first or second trip out ever. Looking forward to it!

So it’s still not too late to claim your spot at the Taidnapam gathering(s). As previously discussed, this year you have the option of choosing which weekend you want. The traditional first weekend in June (3,4,5) will be under the watchful eye of Roger. The second weekend (10,11,12), which is Free Fishing Weekend, will be more or less under my direction. It is unfortunate that wires got crossed for the dates but hey, now there are options! Rest assured, there will be good times for all in attendance no matter which weekend you choose so if you have not already signed up and reserved a site, now would be a good time to do so. As usual, we are all camping in the newer section of the campground so be sure to make that distinction when you make your reservations. Next year we’ll get back on track and all gather at the same time.

Wait, I see... Chris & Maureen are listed as being in Site 247, but they are really in 274.
What's with Don & Jerry and Mel & Jess' reservations? My Taidnapam map says their sites (230 and 259) are not reserved for the June 4-5 weekend.
