We probably can't do the whole thing, just Friday through Sunday. What day is the usual meet and great and potluck?
Thanks
Steve & family, the informal "Meet & Greet will be held at 6:00pm on check in day Thursday 17th, but the "Shine and Show" where everyone shows off their campers, I have scheduled in for Saturday morning.
The Pot Luck will take place at 5:00pm Friday.
Congrats on your new to you camper and can not wait to see it. There are only a few campers of that vintage and I think we only had 1or 2 other Uhaul at the rally last year
See ya at the Rally

Hi, Gerry!
Will anyone be selling used or crafty camping items at the rally? Would anyone be interested if I did?

Karen, I am sure it would be OK if it doesn't take on the appearance of a yard-sale or flea market. Meaning the owner wouldn't want to see tables out front of your site with flags and such.
I raffle and give, away a few items I have made or things relevant to camping at the Pot Luck Dinner on Friday and I may have a local business, who produces an interesting item I think campers would be interested in, come in During the Cook at Camp and Recipe Swap, Scheduled for 2:30 on Friday so maybe you could set up a table at the Pavilion while this is going on.
By all means at the Meet and Greet or at any time while at the Rally, mention it to the other campers to drop by you site if you want for a private
sale
What site did you reserve? I will post it in the welcome packet that I will hand out to the Spring Flingers and let me know if you will set up a table at the Recipe Swap.

Hello again from Karen Juul-Memoli!

Hi, Gerry,
Thanks for the info. I will bring a few things, then, and see if there is an interest. Anthony can't find the site #, but I can bring some stuff to the recipe swap (I didn't know about this, can you explain, please?).
Thanks again,
Karen

I got hold of the owner of the campground and submitted a Schedule of Events for the Spring Fling Rally and as soon as he goes over it and approves it I will post some of it here so maybe more people will want to join in the fun and others who are already going to attend will have a heads up on some of the activities I have planed.
I should know by next week so stay posted when you see that the Spring Fling in New England has a new posting.

Gerry: My parents aren’t on the forum, but they will be attending in their Escape 19. Just booked site 50 today on the waterfront.

My father may be distracted by all the trout reportedly in the lake, but I’ll make sure they will be around for the Shine and Show. If anyone wants to see a super quiet, custom mini-split A/C on a fiberglass trailer here is your chance!

Dave, your parents are welcome to join in all the activities at the Rally. As far as fish in pound I never did fish it but son-in-law did catch a trout, through the ice, that was worthy of mounting. I believe it was 20 inches. Remember License is required and Row Boats or canoes are there for rent. No "GAS" motor boats are allowed on Pond.

Well another month closer and got the Lady-bug out last week to the front yard. BUT we have had 3 of the biggest snow storms of the year just in the past 12 days and now I have to shovel and snowblow the snow from around the little Boler.
I am taking a break from it all at the Samoset Resort, our condo, on the coast of Maine just dreaming of the lazy warm days we are all camping again here in New England.
Another storm with predictions of 12+ inches of snow is raging outside and power is flickering. With the 60 degree weather we had back a month ago is a thing just a tease but I'll get through it as said...Dreaming of warm summer nights at the Spring Fling in New England Rally.

Got another E-mail from a Tear Drop trailer owner who will be joining us. The more the merrier.
I know there may be people who did not sign the attend list so I may go down to the campground today and see if they can give me a count so I can estimate the food I will need to buy for the events.
Also, I want to see if there are still enough sites available to take all you on the fence or late comers to get good sites near the Pavilion.

An issue was brought up the other day when someone wanted to make a reservation and went to KOA (the 888 number) to make it. They were concerned that KOA didn't know anything about the Spring Fling Rally or about the discount for a site.
KOA Does not have anything to do with this rally or the discount.
The discount is given by the Owner and if you do call the 603 number you will get the answering machine and they will call you back in a day or two and you can make a reservation through them.
As far as discounts. When making reservations, you will only give a deposit and when you arrive you will have to pay the balance and that is when the discount is calculated.
Remember the discount is on a sliding scale and the more people we get the bigger the discount.
Last count was we have hit the 1st level which put it down to $42 and a deluxe site down to $53.
I talked to the office today and he is going to find out how much the savings will be for just Water and Electric site with no Sewer.
Hope this all makes sense.
Your Host Gerry.

Got to talk to the office over the weekend and they informed me that the sites not prime or deluxe and just have water and electric, which is not listed in the #1 Posting, is now only $34 a night.
Also:
Remember the map of the campground is not to scale and it is just a 5 or 10 minute walk from anywhere in the campground to the centrally located Pavilion area. So don't worry about getting a site too far away from the action.

What can be expected for weather temperatures at that time of year. We have been in that campground once in mid summer.

Good Question. Thing about any New England weather, as the old adage goes, if you don't like the weather...just wait a minute.
All Kidding aside I would be amiss if I told you it will be in the 80's But seeing the full moon is on the 29th and we almost always get a hard frost 30 degrees of lower on the full moon this shouldn't effect us on the Rally dates.
Just a guess - mid 60's + in the sun for days and nights in the mid 40's or a bit cooler.
As far as Rain...any ones guess. We do have the ability to use the indoor rec room with it's fire place if it is too cold for morning coffee or anytime.

We are thinking about attending. Waiting to see what sites are available. Will have to decide which trailer to bring, Uhaul or Casita.

You're in a catch 22 situation. If you wait too long, the site you want may be already rented.
The campground is open to the public other then us Spring Flingers and reservations may be going fast so don't sit on the fence too long.
