I just noticed that there is one electric site left for these dates. Plenty on non-electric sites.

Also note that the park pass (annual or daily) has increased at MN State Parks.

I got a tad miffed seeing that no electrical sites available when trying to book online. In frustration, I CALLED. and was able to book a site for the days indicated. The woman I spoke with saw the same webpage and didn't quite understand it either. Regardless, I got a confirmation number and lookward to starting out the season there.

Bottom line is that if you are interested, consider calling the park reservation system.

We have site #55 reserved. There are not a lot of sites left.

As we have no hoast I will furnish a sliced whole cured ham which will done on the campfire on Friday evening around 5 for our meet and greet Berny will provide beans, I will also provide plenty of pickels See ya all then plan on a brekfast Sat morning I* am hoping for campfire SCHOOLMARM toast on the fire and a potluck on Sat.

it is at kathio state park near Mil laces lake May 3-5, also cow boy coffee after 5 each morning

At the Petaga campground there are a few electric sites for Thursday night only.

There are still 5 non electric sites for the weekend.

Mille Lacs also has a rustic campground (Ogechie) that has 26 empty campsites. We drove through that campground and it is fine if you can do without electricity and modern washrooms. It is a ways from Petaga and would require you to drive to be with us at the gathering.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and having Lyndon’s ham and Bernie’s beans. Love the hearty breakfast that always seems to come together.

Don’t forget to bring your voices or musical instruments to participate in music.

I just tried to look at the reservation system to see if there are any non electric sites left at Petaga campground.

The system (on my iPad) was a new look and I could not get anywhere.

Bringing this up to the top to remind people. Weather up north has been colder than previous years. Our ice on the Mississippi is not moving.

When we get closer to the date I will check with the park to see if they are able to turn on the water. We might need warm clothes this year.

Yes it will be cool,but we can expect that. Water should be on May first. I can carry 30 gallons of home water for cowboy coffee so no problem there. Will bring some certified wood.Only 25 days left to warm up some. We can use the shelter if needed

I am bring parsnip/carrot soup for Friday meet and greet. Hope you like ginger, we went a bit heavy on that. Will serve it in paper cups. Diane mentioned bringing bread.

It looks like cold nights. Too cool for evening music? They may have to entertain us earlier in the day? Fortunately the days look like they will be nice.

Steve, Not sure if I want to bet on the ice being gone from the lake!

Actually it can be entertaining to watch if the ice is ready to go out and the wind blows the ice against and up onto the shore. Occasionally it has even blocked US 169 and even damaged cabins.
