2018, Oct 4-6: LBL FALL RALLY

The 9th Annual Land Between the Lakes Fall Rally will be at the LBL Piney Campground near Dover, TN. Rally begins on Thursday Oct 4, 2018 for three nights. Reservations may be made six months in advance of your arrival date at lbl.org or by telephone 800-525-7077. The host site will be Persimmon 231. Please do not reserve this site. Book sites in the Sweetgum, Persimmon or Loblolly loops. All of these sites merge and are in the vicinity of the host site. There are no dues or registration requirements for this rally. Just reserve and pay for your camp site. There will be a potluck on Friday night and a wine tasting on Saturday night. Please bring a bottle of your favorite beverage. You may also bring a small gift for the door prize drawing. A detailed schedule will be provided upon your arrival. Please DO NOT contact the campground for rally info. They will not have any. Questions should be addressed to me by private message. Thanks - Dennis.

LBL Rally in Oct.

We're set for the rally and looking forward to it. Arriving early 9/30 and staying a tad longer. Because of the extended stay we are not in the immediate area you prescribed, but nearby. Decided to use the convenience of having sewer service this time around and not in that area. I know from a referral this is an excellent park. See you there.

Online it looks like there are no more sites available? Does this rally and campground fill up fast? I’ll call today to find out more. Thanks and hope to see you there!

We were interested but I agree, it looks like this event is locked up.

Piney has "non-reservable" sites that you can get the day you drive in. First-come-first-serve so they're iffy too. If you're going to reserve near the rally, you have to nearly be on the mouse/keyboard at 11:59 PM on the 6 month before to get a close site!

I just looked and there are sites available in the next loop.
This is really okay since most of the activities are at the host
site, which is very large. Walks usually originate either from
there or very close to that area. Sometimes, we pick up people
who want to join us, on the way. Also, the potluck is usually
held at the pavilion by the camp store which has a large parking
lot. Hope this info helps.

Hi Dennis and All,

Laura and I just booked site 250 on Loblolly Loop. We are checking in on Thursday and checking out on Monday. There were 6 other sites available on Loblolly as well as two or three on Persimmon, Shortleaf, and Dogwood. Getting full, but there is capacity as of today.

See ya,

Dean

Hi Dennis: As noted earlier, we have our reservation in a neighboring loop. Since we are spending a longer time there and coming from MN could you provide some additional information. 1. Is there a town nearby where we can replenish our provisions. 2. Avg temperature there this time of year 3. Need for bug spray in addition to sunscreen?
Look forward to our trip to LBL. Thanks you.

Unfortunately, just discovered this rally, as we are local, unfortunately there are no more reservable sites in all of LBL.org pine campground... maybe next year!

They always have extras that are NOT reserved and you get them when you arrive. You could call and I bet they have some available.

LBL

Nice crew here at the LBL. Fine potluck and nice campfire which we need because it’s only 80 degrees. Corky and Darlene are hosting the campfire tonight. Only fair weather cumulus in the sky for three days.
