First time rally participant
Hi Everyone,
We've owned a 16ft scamp for 11 years; this will be our first rally. Anything I need to know, like are there potlucks I should be prepared for? Looking forward to meeting people, and getting great ideas for modifications, storage, repairs, etc.

Hi Nancy,
Other than the Friday evening meet and greet meal are there any other potlucks or planned meals as a group or group events?
Are most people planning to go into town for dinner on Saturday evening?
Will there be music at the mothership in the evenings?
Just trying to plan what to bring.
Thanks,
Marty J

Greetings, Marty, Paul, Jo
We look forward to meeting you. i will post a schedule soon, tonight or tomorrow.
Our group does not do trailer tours, that I know people love. Most of us are quite happy to show our trailers if you want to see one.
Pot luck at 5 on Saturday is the only thing that you would want to being food to. The other meals are provided (no cost). Friday night meet and greet and Saturday morning breakfast.
Feed yourselves Friday. New Ulm has nice German restaurants.
Sometimes we have a craft activity. Not this time. Unless someone is doing something I don’t know about.
Weather permitting we will hang out at the “Mother ship” (big black van) on site 57. If weather does not cooperate....we will look for option. I did not reserve the shelter this time.
Oh. Be sure to bring musical instruments or voices to jam with folks.
Nancy

Marty,
Music at the Mothership depends on temperature. jam session time could be a different time if the evening is too cold. To be sure there will be music. time and location depends on weather.

Please bring musical instruments and voices to join our musicians.
Thursday evening. I suspect there will be popcorn and campfire at site 57.
Friday: I bet Lyndon will have coffee on early Friday morning. site 57
5:00 pm. Meet and greet. This is NOT a pot Luck. 20 pounds of Smoked BRISKET provided by the Millers. COLESLAW provided by the Parrs. Please bring your beverage, eating utensils and chairs to site 57. Bill also provided us with some very interesting BBQ sauce from Chicago for anyone who likes BBQ sauce on their Brisket.
Saturday: Lyndon gets his cowboy coffee started real early. site 57
9:00 am (this is also NOT a Pot Luck) we will provide sausages, eggs, toast,
and back by demand WAFFLES. Bernie is unable to do the waffles. Jackie has stepped up to provide waffles. Be there before 10 if you want to eat. Bring your beverage, eating utensils and chairs.
Afternoon. Some of you may want to visit the free Hermann Fest, starts at 11:30.
14 Monument Street
https://hermannmonument.com/
https://www.newulm.com/visitors-comm...s/hermannfest/
5:00 pm. This IS a pot luck. Please bring a serving of your choice along with your beverage, utensils and chairs.
Our next Scrambled Eggs gathering will not be over a weekend. Nights of May 3,4,5, 2020. We will meet at Mille Lacs Kathio State Park, Petaga Campground, Mille Lacs, Minnesota on Sunday May 3 - Wednesday May 6. We need to meet on those days in order to have water turned on in the restrooms. Tough to schedule this between water turn on and opening fishing. All electric sites have been reserved. There are still non-electric available.

Newbies
We are Russ and Cindy Rich, we live in Birchwood, WI. We have a 16ft Scamp and will be camping at Flandrau State Park this weekend. We were wondering if there is any formality to joining the rally. At any rate we look forward to camping with a group of like minded campers.

Ronald,
When you check in you can have them point out places you can get water.
There is a place near the Mothership 57. Looks like one between 29/34. another may be near 51 and another near 41. The map will show the W letter.

Flandrau S.P. water
No water hookups at campsites, but you can fill your tank at the dump station.

Hi Wayne
No Cross connection! No cross connection! Huh what sign? I didn’t see a sign did you Wayne? Have a great rally and play a Harold Leofflemacher song or two for me
I like the Julida Polka.

Ronald, you are in the rustic campground. It looks to me like your water supply is near the entrance when you drive in, near an information post. If the office is open when you arrive check to see if I am correct.
Be sure you drive to the gathering area to take advantage of food, coffee, popcorn, music, visiting.

We are here now. Site 42 for 3 nights and then site 22 for the next 2 nights. Weather is PERFECT! Campground is quite nice with lots of trees, flowers, bushes, space, mostly level gravel sites... One other fiberglass camper is here already too. We plan on site seeing as much as possible. There is shopping, restaurants, gas, etc... all in a short distance in case you forget something. See ya'll soon!
